Purple Lotus Yoga offers the crazy-popular stand-up paddleboard (SUP)Yoga in a serene setting conveniently located near Waikiki, yet away from the crowds.

Step off the mat and onto a floating studio where you can practice in rhythm with the water and flow through yoga poses on your moving mat.

The principle is simple: finding your symmetry and balance in order to go fully into the postures. Your senses will be heightened as you find your alignment in complete connection with nature.

We practice in shallow water, however participants MUST be able to swim. Knowledge of basic yoga poses is helpful, but no prior yoga or SUP experience is necessary. Class lasts for 1 hour and 15 minutes. It includes beach instruction on the use of all equipment and, weather permitting, a short paddle in calm water where you may be fortunate enough to see a Hawaiian sea turtle swimming next to you.

Wear a bathing suit or yoga clothes, whatever you’re most comfortable in. Bring a towel and a change of clothes- if you’re working to your edge (and to have the maximum amount of fun), you will get wet! Applying sunscreen before you arrive is highly recommended.
